We're excited to continue the 2022–2023 Gulf Coast Reading Series at Lawndale Art Center!

VI KHI NAO is the author of six poetry collections & of the short stories collection, A Brief Alphabet of Torture (winner of the 2016 FC2's Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize), the novel, Swimming with Dead Stars. Her work includes poetry, fiction, film and cross-genre collaboration. Her collaborative work, That Woman Could Be You, with Jessica Alexander arrives in April 2022 from BlazeVOX. She was the Fall 2019 fellow at the Black Mountain Institute: https://www.vikhinao.com 

marshall woodward is a writer born and raised on the gulf coast. his work has appeared in FENCE, gossamer, b l u s h and wrongdoing mag. Gutslut Press graciously published his debut chapbook, CLOWN STAR, in winter 2022. he was previously editor in chief of the satire project cultural fan fiction.

 

Stephanie Pushaw grew up in Los Angeles and has since lived in Scotland, Montana, Australia, and New Orleans. She has an MFA in fiction from the University of Montana, where she was the recipient of a Truman Capote Fellowship. Her essays and short stories have appeared in journals including Narrative, Joyland, The Masters Review, DIAGRAM, New Ohio Reviewand Mississippi Reviewand have been honored with multiple awards and nominations. Stephanie is currently a third year PhD candidate in fiction at the University of Houston. 

Josh English’s poetry has appeared in Crazyhorse, Lana Turner Review, Bennington Review, Omniverse, West Branch and elsewhere. He is a PhD student at the University of Houston where he is an Inprint C. Glenn Cambor Fellow. He has served as Poetry Editor for Gulf Coast, and was the Co-founding Editor of the poetry outfit Oxidant|Engine.
